Adriana Lima Biography

Born Adriana Francesca Lima on June 12, 1981, became one of the most famous brazilian supermodels in the world!

When Adriana was 13, she was shopping ina mall when she was discovered for her beauty. Once she was 15, she competed in Brazil's Ford Supermodel of the World Search and won first place. the 1996 Ford Supermodel of the World contest and finished second place. Three years later, she moved to New York City, and signed with Elite Model Management.

From there she got major recognition from appearing in many different spreads in Vogue and Marie Claire. Not only that, she has done many fashion show as well such as, Vera Wang, Christian Lacroix, Emanuel Ungaro, Giorgio Armani, Fendi, Ralph Lauren, Valentino, and more. From there she escalated to becoming the new Guess Girl ad campaigns in 2000.

Lima is probbaly better known for the work she has done with Victoria secret and their annual fashion shows. Her most notable walk down the runway was in 2003, where she was the show opener. She is currently a contract 'Angel' and spokesperson for the brand. Lima is also a spokesperson for cosmetics giant Maybelline New York. She is the world's fourth highest paid supermodel as of 2007.
